St. Robert Bellarmine, De Gratia Primi Hominis, Book 1, Chap. 5: “… from actual sin arises an actual inclination to the same sin… but from original sin, which consists not in act but in habit, there does not arise directly any inclination to evil, but indirectly (as St. Thomas says) by removing the obstacle [i.e. grace]… for original justice impeded that languor [of nature].”
