Acts 26:15-18 â âAnd I said: Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord answered: âI am Jesus whom you are persecuting. But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you, delivering you from your people and from the Gentilesâto whom I am sending you to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by the faith that is in me.ââ
Doctrine
Pope Pius X (1904): âMen even go so far as to impugn the arguments for the existence of God, denying with unparalleled audacity and against the first principles of reason the invincible force of the proof which from the effects ascends to their cause, that is God, and to the notion of His infinite attributes. âFor the invisible things of him, from the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made: his eternal power and divinityâ (Rom. 1:20).â (Iucunda sane #15)
