Wrong Order Gets McDonald's Workers A Bullet Through The Window
Erik Sherman jobs.aol.com In case workers at McDonald's thought they could avoid paying attention during their shifts, a new saying might change their minds: Mess up my order once, shame on you; mess up my order twice and you'd better duck. And not because someone is going to yell at you. Shaneka Monique Torres, 29, allegedly shot through a drive-through window at a Grand Rapids, Mich. McDonald's, according to the Detroit Free Press. The reason wasn't fury at an ex-boss or revenge for a love affair gone wrong. The location reportedly had messed up an order two times running. Luckily, no one was hurt. The event started Sunday evening when a car with two women pulled up to the drive-through window. Torres was the passenger. The women placed an order, pulled out, and then realized that a burger was missing bacon. Torres complained about the order. She was told that they could come back later and get a free order as a replacement. The two left and returned at 3AM Monday morning, according to WXMI-TV. They got their free replacement order and then realized that, again, someone had left bacon off a burger. Oops. Saying that Torres was displeased would be putting it mildly. She allegedly exited the car, yelled at the people, pulled out a gun, and fired one shot that went through the drive-through window and out the other side of the building, according to WOOD-TV. At first, no one working there realized what happened. It sounded to them like a coffee pot had burst. The car pulled away and the driver brought Torres home. Unfortunately for Torres, she reportedly had left her cell phone number during the previous visit so the manager could call her. The police used the information to locate her home and allegedly arrest her on multiple gun charges. According to WOOD, police also recovered some food. WXMI reported that Torres is currently being held on a $50,000 bond. She also reportedly also had a bench warrant for not having paid fines for driving with a suspended license. Torres is due back in court on February 21. to read more: jobs.aol.com
