The death of a Little Rock woman has left her community in shock. Gunned down in her own driveway, her neighborhood is left reeling after learning what she was holding in her arms at the time of her murder. However, what’s possibly even worse are the suspects involved in her death.
A 27-year-old mother, later identified as Eunice Lopez, 27, was viciously gunned down during an alleged robbery by a group of teenagers while standing in her own driveway,The Washington Times reports. In her arms, the mother held her 2-year-old daughter as she was shot by the gang of teens.
After shots were fired, a neighbor immediately ran to the home to help. Neighbor Ivan Ortiz attempted to help the victim after she was shot, and reports indicate he removed the baby from her arms to get her to a safe place.
Although responding officers attempted CPR and Lopez was transported to the hospital, she died about one hour later.
