Woman cuts into loaf of bread - only to find a severed rat's head hidden inside it

A woman was left horrified after she cut into a loaf of bread - only to find a severed rat's head inside it.

The Russian resident had bought the bread from a local bakery to have with her breakfast.

But after chopping a slice of it off, she was shocked to make the unsavoury discovery.

Unsurprisingly, the 'repulsive' sight completely put her off her food.

"I always buy bread from the same local baker - it's both tasty and affordable," said the unidentified woman, from Saratov.

"This time, as usual, I got a loaf of bread to have with my breakfast.

"When I cut the loaf, I was repulsed and disguised to find a part of a rat's body there. I must tell you, it put me off my food.

"Fur and the size of the remains didn't leave me guessing. It was a rat."

The woman later took to the Internet to post pictures of the dead rodent inside her loaf of bread.

"I just don't know how the baker couldn't notice such a massive piece of rat," she said.

"And where are other parts of body of the unlucky animal?"

The woman fears that someone else has the rest of the rat inside their own bread.
