Woman, 39, and her boyfriend, 17, charged with torture and murder of her niece and nephew whose bodies were found stuffed in a storage locker

A California couple were charged on Monday with first-degree murder in the death of two young children who suffered horrific abuse, torture and neglect before their bodies were found stuffed inside a storage locker.
Tami Joy Huntsman, 39, and her 17-year-old companion, Gonzalo Curiel, were charged after the bodies of a 3-year-old girl and 6-year-old boy were discovered in the rental storage unit in Redding on December 13, Monterey County District Attorney Dean Flippo said.
The suspects were arrested on December 11 and initially charged with torture and abuse of a 9-year-old girl who was found with broken bones huddled in the backseat of an SUV about 300 miles north of Salinas, where the suspects had lived until recently.
