Ukraine cuts off Crimea’s power, transport services

presstv.ir Ukraine has cut off electricity as well as bus and train services to the Crimea Peninsula, which integrated into the Russian Federation in a referendum earlier this year. On Friday, Kiev stopped providing electricity to Crimea, arguing that Ukraine has its own electricity shortages since the pro-Russia forces operating in the country’s east have blocked coal shipments to its power plants. On the same day, Ukraine also suspended train and rail services to Crimea over what it described as security concerns.
