Can Non-Catholics Survive The "Three Days of Darkness" (According To The Theory)?
In the recent video posted, The Great Monarch Theory Is False, the point is made that the Great Monarch theory (among other things) doesn’t make sense because 1) it typically presents the ‘Great Monarch’ (who will allegedly battle non-Catholic armies and/or convert multitudes) as coming to power after the supposed three days of darkness; but 2) basically all non-Catholics will die during the three days of darkness, according to typical explanations of the theory. So, how will the 'Great Monarch' battle non-Catholic armies and/or convert multitudes when there won’t be any (or almost any) non-Catholics left following the devastation of the supposed three days of darkness? That’s just one problem with this false theory.
Some have objected to the claim that basically all non-Catholics will die during the three days of darkness, according to the theory. Here’s some evidence on that matter.
The three days of darkness theory leaves basically no room for non-Catholic survivors. In fact, the only survivors, according to its primary sources, would be a subset of Catholics who made the proper preparations and followed the strict rules throughout the three days. For example, the alleged Padre Pio letter (which is a hoax) says that anyone who steps outside will die as it warns that “he who steps outside will perish!” This alleged letter also implies that merely looking out your window can kill you, as it says, “Cover your windows carefully.”[1] The alleged prophecy of Blessed Gaspar Del Bufalo says that so many will die that a survivor will think he is alone on earth.[2] Also, Marie-Julie Jahenny heavily implies that without a lit candle one will die. She claims, “This light is the only thing that will protect you.” Of course, this is implying that only Catholics would have the blessed candles made of sufficient beeswax (the percentage of beeswax required is a controversial issue).
However, Jahenny further warns that even with the proper candles, it still might not light if one is in the home of a “blasphemer.”[3] Also, another source claims that candles will not light in the houses of the “godless.”[4] All non-Catholics could belong to those two categories that render the candle unable to light since false religions by their nature tend to blaspheme God and/or be “godless” by not worshipping the one true God. All of this would imply that for the candle to light, the house needs to have all Catholics, or at least people on the verge of converting.
If we assume a more liberal interpretation of the candle rules and assume that perhaps a candle could light with non-Catholics in the house, their survival is still highly improbable. The only way for a non-Catholic to survive is the following unlikely situation. They would need to be living in a house that is prepared for the three days of darkness, be home when it starts, and not look out the window or answer the door for the three days. But even this is not as easy as it sounds, because it is commonly held that demons will come to the doors of the houses with candles burning and attempt to trick people into opening the door by impersonating loved ones or authority figures. This demonic impersonation was a part of the story in Janice Magner’s Three Days of Darkness speculative fiction novel. Also, the alleged Padre Pio letter said, “Talk to no one outside your house.”[5]
Perhaps the only quote that refers to non-Catholics surviving claims that there will be very few non-Catholic survivors who will soon convert. This is an alleged quote from Anna-Maria Taigi found in the well-known book Trial, Tribulation and Triumph.
As an aside, one source does mention the idea of three fourths of humanity being killed. A group of survivors that large would imply, but not necessitate, non-Catholic survivors.[7] This reference is not a primary source and it does not read like a supernatural prophecy. It is presented like an individual reiterating and speculating on a prophetic theory.
Therefore, based on the preponderance of evidence, the three days of darkness theory does not allow for any non-Catholic survivors (as in those who would firmly remain non-Catholic and not become converts soon after the supposed event). Consequently, there is no mechanism for entire non-Catholic armies to survive for the supposed Great Monarch to battle.

One candle alone will be enough for the duration of this night of hell. Neither wind, nor storm, nor earthquake will put out the blessed candles. Red clouds, like blood, will cross the sky, and the crash of thunder will shake the earth to its very core. This crisis will be sudden and the punishment will be world-wide.’” (Yves Dupont, Catholic Prophecy The Coming Chastisement, p. 76.)
