Teens indicted in 'satanic-type' animal killings

Two East Texas teenagers were indicted by a Nacogdoches County grand jury earlier this month for allegedly killing animals in a satanic type ritual. Court documents show Delaney Walters, 18, and Mark Tyler Ainsworth, 17, will each face three cruelty to non livestock animal charges. The jury indicted them on the morning of June 6. The documents stated the couple killed a dog with a knife, then cut it open and removed body parts. Walters and Ainsworth are also accused of killing a cat with a ball bat and another cat by suffocation. According to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office, deputies were investigating the disappearance of a dog near County Road 769 in Nacogdoches when they made the gruesome discovery. Investigators determined the dog had been tied up and skinned on a tree. Ainsworth, confessed to tying up the dog and skinning it. He also confessed it was part of a satanic ritual and another person, his girlfriend, Delaney Walters, was involved. Investigators also found pictures and a video in possession of one of the suspects. Sheriff Bridges said Walters had satanic like pictures in her phone even a picture of her holding the dog's heart. "In my 20 years, I believe this is probably the first type I've investigated where a dog has been tortured this way in a cult type activity."
