Ijreview.com reports: "Ken Simon was set to retire after a 47-year teaching career in the small town of Peculiar, Montana, and he couldn’t have been happier to finish the year with his students. At the end of the year, the history teacher showed students a training film called “Boys Beware,” produced by the Inglewood, CA, police department in the 1950’s, in order to talk about how American culture has changed over the years. The video depicts homosexuality as a mental illness, and homosexual relationships as criminal — showing a fictitious interaction between an older and younger man... But a student in the class apparently went to the school administration to complain, and Simon was swiftly suspended with pay. The seasoned teacher said he wasn’t concerned about the paycheck..."
