Target developing its own mobile payment wallet, report says

Target Corp. is the early stages of developing a mobile wallet that would allow shoppers to pay for purchases using an app on their smartphones.
Reuters, citing anonymous sources, said Target (NYSE: TGT) could launch the mobile wallet as early as next year, but also writes that the Minneapolis retailer isn’t committed to launching the product.
Target is part of Merchant Customer Exchange, a group of retailers that are creating a mobile wallet called CurrentC. Wal-Mart is also part of that consortium, but launched its own mobile wallet this week.Sign up for our free e-mail list to see future vaticancatholic.com videos and articles.
