Social media influencer’s girlfriend accepts $200k offer to abort twins
Social media lifestyle influencer and former stripper Courtney Hale claimed that Twitch streamer Kai Cenat offered her $200,000 to abort their twins in 2023.
Hale, who goes by the stage name “Gorgeous Doll,” released a 32-minute “My Lore” video to YouTube on Sunday titled “The $200,000 Abortion,” followed by a series of five TikTok videos making the same claims.
According to Hale, she and Cenat — one of the biggest Twitch streamers in the history of the platform with over 20 million followers — began a relationship in 2023, after which she discovered she was pregnant with twins. Hale says she wanted to keep the babies but presented Cenat with two options. The first option: buy her house, pay for a nanny, and give her $5,000 a month while remaining involved with their children.
The second option was to pay her $200,000 to have both children killed in utero: $100,000 per child.
Hale says that she asked for the amount because aborting twins would be physically arduous. Cenat, to her alleged surprise, swiftly agreed, saying he was not ready to be a father. “He said, ‘I’ll pay the $200,000,” she recounted. “I said, ‘Wow! Really?’” Hale is based in Atlanta, and so the two influencers flew to New York for the abortions.
After the babies were killed, Hale says Cenat texted her and asked if he could “just send you $150,000” instead. Hale agreed, and the money landed in her account within a few days. After the abortion, Hale ended up in the hospital for six hours experiencing heavy blood clotting; she claims that while she bled in the emergency room, Cenat was enjoying Thanksgiving with his family.
It is difficult to know how many of the macabre details of this story are accurate. Hale is an online influencer, and as the mega-viral video of influencers Jesse and Ashley Ridgeway announcing that they had aborted their baby boy because he was diagnosed with Down syndrome reveals, abortion stories can spread like wildfire. Hale may be telling the truth; she may be attempting to attract attention, like the fake viral “Baby Cancelled” post earlier this year. Abortion posts appeal to people the same way snuff films do.
But if the details of this story are true — and I suspect they are — they are very revealing. Kai Cenat is likely worth over $30 million. Hale is also very successful. Both could afford to have children. Money was not the issue. But Cenat said he was too young and had too much life ahead of him — and so his twins had to have their lives ended so he could do online comedy and interview rappers. This was a straight-up child sacrifice.
Hale, for her part, attempts to curry sympathy for her “plight” — but she offered to have her twin babies killed in exchange for cash. She did not have to make the offer, and she did not have to go through with the abortions. She claims she wanted the twins but had them killed anyway. Hale already has a young son. She knew what she was doing. She doesn’t even bother to use clinical terms like “fetuses” when referring to the twins.
In some ways, this is a very old story. Men paying women to abort children they do not want is not new. Some professional athletes have even had their partners sign “abortion contracts” to guarantee the outcome.
