A single selfie sent to a victim’s led to the arrest of two Brooklyn teens over the weekend after police circulated the photo of the two suspects in connection to an iPhone robbery.
Cops said the teens nabbed another teenage boy’s iPhone on April 17 at around 11:30 p.m. while at a venue on 48th Street in Hell’s Kitchen that was hosting an 18-and-under DJ party at the time. Khayyam Alexander, 16, turned himself over to authorities on Saturday after police publicly released their selfie — a snapshot of the two teens with broad smiles as they rode the subway away from the Manhattan venue. Investigators said Fethi Nekrouf, 18, was arrested on Sunday, although the circumstances around the arrest were not immediately clear. However, both teens face charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.Sign up for our free e-mail list to see future vaticancatholic.com videos and articles.
