Psalm 106 & Abortion
Psalm 106 contains some very sad verses about how the people mingled with the heathens and became like them. As a consequence they sacrificed their own sons and daughters and polluted the land with their blood. This is analogous to the sin of abortion in our day. It often occurs because people fornicate and act like the pagans around them. They then shed the blood of their own sons and daughters and pollute the land, similar to those described in Psalm 106.
Psalm 106:35-40- “… they mixed with the heathens and learned to do as they did. They served their idols, which became a snare to them. They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons; they poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood. Thus they became unclean by their acts, and played the whore in their deeds. And the Lord was exceedingly angry with his people: and he abhorred his inheritance.”
