Parents storm school demanding prayers to cast out demons
KAMAU MAICHUHIE standardmedia.co.ke Ruiru, Kenya: Drama unfolded at Thome primary school Ruiru after parents stormed the school demanding to hold prayers in the school to cast out demons which they claimed have invaded their children. The irate parents also wanted to withdraw their children from the school but were denied the chance by the deputy headmaster who was acting head. The parents claimed that the demons have been attacking some of the pupils forcing them to speak in strange languages and sounds which they said have become a serious concern to them. Charles Angao a parent narrated how her daughter who is in Class Seven started to behave strangely after she was allegedly given juice and cake in school by a fellow pupil. “Sometimes she walks like a snake and makes very strange sound like that of a goat and a snake which have really worried us,” he said According to Hannah Njeri who is a parent to a Class 7 pupil, her daughter and three of her colleagues went missing after attending Saturday tuition and upon interrogation when they came back, they claimed that they had gone to the ‘ocean’. “My daughter and her colleagues were inducted into the cult after they were given juice and cake by a fellow pupil which we believe is meant to introduce them to devil worship,” she said. Â Njeri says that her daughter revealed that she had been an agent of devil worship since she was in class five and had enrolled more than 30 pupils in the school into the cult. The pupil said that she used money and food stuffs to lure her colleagues into devil worship. to read more: standardmedia.co.ke
