Now "Gov." Katie Hobbs Calls For Trump To Be Indicted For Trying To "Overturn" 2020 Election In Arizona
Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs (Ariz.) said Arizona should press charges against former President Donald Trump for interfering in the state’s presidential election in 2020.
Hobbs called on Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes to follow suit with Georgia, which indicted Trump on Monday for conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election, during an event in Phoenix on Monday.
“Absolutely. I have been an advocate for holding folks involved in trying to overturn the will of the voters in the 2020 election accountable and this is part of that process,” Hobbs said, according to KTAR News.
“Accountability is critical. I don’t think we’re going to change direction until there’s accountability at the top level,” Hobbs said in response to a question about charges leveled against Trump.
“And this is an important step forward that I think should move forward and play out in the legal process,” she added.
Interestingly, after KTAR published her remarks, Hobbs’ Communications Director Christian Slater provided a statement attempting to clarify the governor’s comments.
“Gov. Hobbs misheard the question. She was responding generally about her belief that anyone who breaks the law must be held accountable for working to overturn free and fair elections. As she has consistently stated, she believes in allowing the legal process to proceed independently and without political interference.”
Evidence of fraud during the 2020 election in Arizona is compelling: ballot machine tabulator failures, ballot harvesting, no signature verification standards, fraudulent votes, and 10,000 illegal aliens using the same social security number, all backed up by testimony from poll workers.
Notably, while Hobbs was Secretary of State overseeing the election in Arizona, she sought Twitter and Facebook to censor her GOP opponents, namely Kari Lake and the Republican Party.
Talk about election interference!
Lake apparently lost to Hobbs by only 17,000 votes.
The Georgia indictment against Trump lays out 10 separate charges alleging a RICO conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election — but admits each charge does not constitute an actual crime on its own.
