Nissan Self-Cleaning Car Repels Dirt

Nissan said... that it is testing a specially engineered super-hydrophobic and oleophobic paint in Europe that will slough off most of the road grime your car picks up on messy days. A specially-painted Versa Note will go through testing in “a variety of conditions.”
The technology is called “Ultra-Ever Dry” and Nissan claims to be the first automaker using it in an automotive application. Nissan says that so far, the coating is responding well to rain, spray, frost, sleet and standing water.
There aren’t currently plans to offer the dirt-repelling paint on retail vehicles, but the company says it will “continue to consider the coating technology as a future aftermarket option.”
