New Judicial Watch Docs Expose FBI Corruption

The government watchdog group Judicial Watch released 29 new pages of documents Tuesday related to the “tarmac meeting” between President Bill Clinton and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

The new documents show the FBI was far more concerned with who leaked the information about the meeting to the local Phoenix media, rather than the details of the meeting itself. They also suggested then-FBI Director James Comey only learned of the meeting after seeing news reports on television.

In releasing the documents to the public, Judicial Watch stated:

The new FBI documents show FBI officials were concerned about a leak that Bill Clinton delayed his aircraft taking off in order to “maneuver” a meeting with the attorney general.  The resulting story at Observer.com is seemingly confirmed and causes a flurry of emails about the source of the article.  FBI official(s) write “we need to find that guy” and that the Phoenix FBI office was contacted “in an attempt to stem any further damage.”  Another FBI official, working on AG Lynch’s security detail, suggests instituting non-disclosure agreements.  The names of the emails authors are redacted. There are no documents showing concern about the meeting itself. 

The documents never would have seen the day of light, however, had it not been for a separate Judicial Watch lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act that proved the documents existed. The FBI had planned to keep them hidden until “accidentally” exposed by the Justice Department.

"These new FBI documents show the FBI was more concerned about a whistleblower who told the truth about the infamous Clinton-Lynch tarmac meeting than the scandalous meeting itself," Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said. "The documents show the FBI worked to make sure no more details of the meeting would be revealed to the American people."

Later, Judicial Watch pointed out that Peter Strzok, the FBI agent who was deeply involved in both the Clinton email investigation and instigated the special counsel “Russia Narrative” investigation, was heavily involved in the bureau’s response to the tarmac meeting.
