Muslim woman dragged to her death by crocodile while cooking lunch in her kitchen

A horror attack saw a mom-to-be killed by a crocodile while cooking lunch in her home last week. Munirah, 28, was eight months pregnant when she was dragged by the ferocious predator after a nearby river burst its banks.

Munirah was cooking lunch in her home in Indonesia, which had earlier been flooded when the tragedy occurred last Tuesday (May 27). The heavily pregnant woman was suddenly bitten on her leg by the crocodile. She is said to have screamed as the large reptile attempted to perform a death roll on her. Munirah's sister, Ana Maria, rushed in to find her clinging to a tree branch.

Ana Maria desperately searched for a weapon, however, it was too late. Her sister was dragged into the water to her death.

Villagers searched in vain along the Mambulu River in North Kalimantan. Several men found the crocodile and fired a gun at it, but it swam away.

Around 30 minutes later, Munirah's lifeless body was discovered floating in the flood.
