The mother of Portugal’s soccer star Christiano Ronaldo admits in a new tell-all that she attempted to abort him by drinking enough beer and running around in an attempt to cause a miscarriage.

Ronaldo is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a forward for Spanish club Real Madrid and captains the Portugal national team, which recently participated in the World Cup. He became the world’s most expensive player when he moved from Manchester United to Real Madrid in 2009.

His mother Dolores Aveiro writes in a new biography that she drank beer and ran around in attempt to end pregnancy after doctors refused to help her. Aveiro made the admission in a tell-all biography, titled Mother Courage, which was released in Portugal today.
