Mother admits to abandoning baby in drain
9news.com.au A woman charged with attempted murder after a newborn baby boy was found abandoned in a western Sydney drain has admitted to dumping him knowing it could kill him, court documents have revealed... Police allege the newborn was left in the drain on Tuesday, just 24 hours after he was born. If the allegation is true it means he has survived in the drain for five days before being found by a passing cyclist on Sunday morning.
