liveleak.com Emergency planners are preparing for the worst next Tuesday and Wednesday. Regional West Medical Center is participating in a 21 – agency emergency disaster next week. The scenario? A nuclear explosion near Interstate 80.The hospital will help decontaminate victims, treat injuries, and make sure everything is reported correctly. "Every time we do an exercise, it is to test our plans," says Emergency Preparedness Coordinator Dave Edwards. "Not necessarily how the staff reacts, but are our plans in place correct."
