In recent days, Missouri has been battered with storms, forcing the State's governor to declare a state of emergency. Having even one property damaged by flash floods is bad, but Republic's Ford dealership saw no less than 105 vehicles totaled.
Of the models wrecked by the water, about 30 per cent were F-150 pick-up trucks, with the rest consisting of a number of other models including the Taurus, Mustang, Escape, Edge and a number of Lincolns.
Things could have been much worse if it wasn't for kind locals helping out. The dealership's marketing director Jim Pettyjohn revealed to Torque News that about 25 local drivers stopped and helped to move about two-thirds of the cars to the back of the dealership, which is on much higher ground and wasn't affected by the flash floods.
