Man Trying to Move Alligator Gets Attacked
abc13.com A Louisiana learned the hard way not to mess with alligators. The 11-foot reptile tore into the man's hand, leaving him with 80 stitches, and it was all caught on camera.
Glen Bonin and his friends came across the gator while driving down a road just south of Sulphur, Louisiana and tried moving it out of the roadway.
"Took our shirts off, threw it on his face, and we were going to come from behind it and jump on it and in the process of doing that, it spun around and grabbed my hand seconds before we jumped on it," Bonin told KPLC-TV in Lake Charles.
As someone was recording the attempt, the gator spun around and grabbed onto Bonin's hand.
"It felt like someone was pulling my arm out. I thought I was about to lose something," he said. "It felt like it lasted forever. When it happened it was a split second, but it really wasn't. It felt like it lasted a long time."
As a result, Bonin suffered injuries that required 80 stitches to his hand.
"Definitely fortunate, God was watching over me," he said.
