houston.cbslocal.com While police were still at the scene of a man’s suicide, the victim’s brother slipped past them and killed himself in the same mobile home. KHOU-TV reports that several Houston police officers were actively investigating the mobile home where a man shot himself to death around 8:45 p.m. following an alleged argument with his girlfriend Wednesday night. While examining the scene, the victim’s brother was able to sneak into the home, retrieve a gun from a room, and proceed to shoot and kill himself. Homicide detectives heard the shots only moments after seeing the brother enter the mobile home. “The brother came to the scene, slipped by officers unnoticed in the crowd, proceeded to his room and grabbed a gun of his own and committed suicide,” Nathan Rosbenblatt, spokesman for the Houston Police Department, told KHOU. Following the second suicide at Joe’s Mobile Home Park in Almeda Genoa at Donegal Way, Houston police were re-evaluating protocol for containing active crime scenes.
