Man arrested, accused of possessing 2M explicit images of children
Tim Wetzel khou.com DEER PARK, Texas -- A Texas man has been charged with possessing child pornography after police say they discovered nearly 2 million sexually explicit images of children on his computer. Police said they were called to the home of George Hollis, 24, of Deer Park by his own parents because they believed he was on drugs and having a mental breakdown. When police arrived, they searched his bedroom closet and said they discovered a computer displaying child porn. According to detectives, the computer's hard drive was sent off to a secret service lab where investigators uncovered the images. Hollis faces five counts of possessing child pornography. Police estimate the victims ages are between 6 and 16. "All the indications that we got were that he was strictly doing this stuff on the Internet," said Lt. Earl Morrison of the Deer Park police department. Hollis' uncle says his nephew has had mental problems before, but his parents never imagined he was downloading child porn. "If they would have had any thoughts (about that), they would have taken his computer away from him," said Dennis Hollis. "They're devastated." Hollis is being held in the Harris County jail on a $150,000 bond.
