John Paul II: Muhammad Ascended To Heaven – Muslims And Jews Have Forgiveness (Feb. 1986)
On Feb. 26, 1986, Antipope John Paul II gave a short speech to Christians, Jews and Muslims. Yet it was packed with blasphemies and statements that are tantamount to apostasy.
John Paul II, To a Group of Christians, Jews and Muslims (Rome), Feb. 26, 1986: “The fact that your delegation, composed of Christians, Jews and Muslims, has gathered to reflect on the theme of reconciliation among those who believe in the one God is already in itself something for which we should give thanks together.
By centering your attention on God, you are affirming that genuine reconciliation among peoples is only to be found in him. God is continually reconciling humanity to himself through the forgiveness of our sins and the sharing of his gifts…
You come from a city that has so much meaning for all of us: Jews, Christians and Muslims. Jerusalem, the city of David, the place of Jesus’ death and resurrection, the site of Muhammad’s night journey to God: this city must be a living symbol that God’s will for us is to live in peace and mutual respect. I wish to encourage you in your efforts. In today’s world it is more important than ever that people of faith place at the service of humanity their religious conviction, founded on the daily practice of listening to God’s message and encountering him in prayerful worship.”
As usual, John Paul II tells the unbelievers that they have faith. That’s heresy. He also states that the Jews and Muslims have the “forgiveness of our sins”. That’s a blatant denial of the dogma that there’s no salvation nor remission of sins outside the Church (Pope Boniface VIII, Unam Sanctam, 1302). John Paul II was deliberately mocking Jesus, in whom alone forgiveness and reconciliation are found (2 Cor. 5:18-19, etc.).
John Paul II then refers to “Muhammad’s night journey to God” as a true historical event! For those who don’t know, Muhammad’s “night journey to God” refers to the supposed miraculous transportation of Muhammad from Mecca to Jerusalem and his alleged ascension into Heaven. Muslims believe that this occurred on a single night. When John Paul II refers to Muhammad’s “night journey to God”, by adding “to God” he is undoubtedly including a reference to Muhammad’s supposed ascension into Heaven. It’s an important part of Islamic belief. Muslims believe that during that supposed ascension into Heaven the five daily prayers of Islam were prescribed. During that alleged “night journey to God” (i.e. the “ascension into Heaven”), Muhammed was also treated as a true prophet of God. The Hadith accounts claim that during this “night journey to God” (i.e. “ascension”) Muhammad was called a “prophet” by Adam, Jesus, Moses, Abraham and others.
Muhammad’s “Night Journey To God” (“Ascension”) According To Hadith Sources:
Adam: “You [Muhammad] are welcomed, O pious son and pious Prophet.”
Jesus and John the Baptist: “You [Muhammad] are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet.”
Abraham: “You [Muhammad] are welcomed, O pious son and pious Prophet.”
When Muhammad supposedly encounters Jesus in Heaven, he sees Our Lord treated as merely a human prophet among other merely human prophets. Muhammad’s “night journey to God” is a blasphemous lie and a false story that directly contradicts Christian truth about Jesus Christ’s divinity and the Holy Trinity. To believe it or endorse it is to deny Christianity. Yet, in a speech to Muslims, Antipope John Paul II tells the Muslims that it happened! That’s apostasy.
John Paul II then encourages the Muslims and the Jews to practice their false religions. He calls them people of faith. He tells them to place their (false) religious convictions at the service of humanity. He wants them to spread Islam and Judaism. He also says that they listen to God’s message, when of course they do not. John Paul II was an apostate antipope.
