Iowa gun control sheriff accidentally shoots himself
speroforum.com Sheriff Mike Johnstone of Des Moines County, Iowa, is well known in the “Hawkeye” state for favoring increased restrictions on purchases of firearms. However, gun control apparently escaped him on December 16 when he reportedly shot himself in the left hand whilst cleaning his personal pistol. It was at approximately 11:30 p.m. on a Wednesday night – according to his office – that Johnstone shot himself accidently with a loaded gun, breaching basic firearms safety directives.
