wkyc.com
NORTHFIELD CENTER, Ohio --- We are learning more from the Summit County Medical Examiner's investigators' report regarding the 7486 Skyhaven Drive house explosion that killed a family of four on Monday.
It is now being investigated as a possible murder-suicide, according to the investigators' report. The Ohio state fire marshal has already ruled the incident as an arson.
The Medical Examiner's office has not yet ruled on the manner and cause of the four deaths.
The father, Jeff Mather, 43, was employed by Swagelok for 20 years. Mather's wife, Cynthia, 43, and their two children, Alyson, 12, and Ruthie, 8, also died in the explosion. The couple had been married for 20 years...
The investigators' report detailed that Jeff Mather had been in the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation Dec. 2 the first week in December and he had a shotgun with him.
He asked a stranger in the Metroparks to call a ranger. He later told the ranger that he heard "dark voices" telling him to shoot himself.
