A horse with a serious injury was thrown out with a pile of rubbish.
The RSPCA are search for the thugs who dumped the animal on fly-tipped waste with a broken neck and left it to die in the cold.
The horse was abandoned overnight on a heap of rubbish by the side of a road next to a field in Shirebrook, earlier this week.
Dog-walkers discovered the fly-tipping site and noticed the colt was still alive and appeared to have a neck injury.
An RSPCA investigator attended on Wednesday afternoon to follow-up on the call but the horse is believed to have died during the night.
Disturbing pictures show the animal’s body calllously dumped alongside other household waste – including what appears to be a used bathtub.
