"Former pastor guilty of thefts from parishioners’ homes in western Wisconsin"
twincities.com
"A former pastor from a Birchwood, Wis., church who admitted he broke into several residences of parishioners, pleaded guilty Friday in Barron County, Wis., Circuit Court of five misdemeanor counts of theft.
Jon M. Paquette, 57, of Birchwood, was previously charged with a felony count of burglary. His sentencing is set for August.
According to court records:
Paquette broke into a Birchwood couple’s residence in October. After a break-in at their residence in September, the couple installed a surveillance camera in their driveway. Video in October showed Paquette, whom the couple knew from Trinity Lutheran Church, was at the residence four times that day, and he once tried to hide a crowbar-type item under his jacket.
Paquette admitted breaking into that residence and three others with the intent of stealing pain medications."
