wkbw.com St. John’s Church shut down in 2009. Now, Craig Van Tine bought and transformed the building. He turned the church in to an entertainment space and the rectory into a bed and breakfast. The space is now called “The Church." Van Tine said this project is not only about resurrecting the church but also a resurgence in the South Buffalo community. He says the site will bring people and money to the area. Now a group called Caz Tapped is holding an event in the church on February 21st at 6 p.m. They will feature local bands, food trucks and other vendors.
