Ex-Cop Reportedly Beat His 3-Month-Old Baby Into Vegetative State
opposingviews.com A baby has been left in a vegetative state after suffering abuse from his father, a former police officer in North Carolina, according to York County Solicitor Kevin Brackett. The father, Robert Jeffrey Taylor, 45, appeared in court recently on charges of child neglect and abuse. His bail had been set at $100,000 though his attorney, Jim Boyd, lobbied for $20,000 bail. According to Brackett, the 3-month-old baby boy currently sits in a hospital with retinal hemorrhage and bruising on his neck. He also noted that the baby is in a vegetative state with severe brain damage and will not likely recover.
