Chihuahua takes owner’s car for joyride and crashes into stunned driver

metro.co.uk A female driver was stunned after she looked up to see who had crashed into her car and saw there was a Chihuahua behind the wheel. Tabitha Ormaechea was driving in Spokane, in the US state of Washington, when her tyre was hit by another vehicle. When she looked to see who the offender was she was confused after spotting a pooch.

‘[There was] just a little dog up on the steering wheel peeking over, looking at me,’ she told KREM-TV. ‘I didn’t know if I was crazy, or if this little dog had taken a joyride.’ It turned out the car belonged to Jason Martinez and it had been commandeered (accidentally knocked out of gear) by Toby the Chihuahua, while his owner had popped into a shop. Fortunately no-one was hurt.
