A 45-year-old woman told investigators that she killed her mother Monday after ghosts had told her to do so.
“My mother is dead. The ghosts told me I had to kill her,” Paula Lynn Anderson of North Charleston said tearfully in a 911 call released Wednesday, most of which was unintelligible.
“I’m in a very fragile state of mind,” she said. “I did not want to kill my mother.”
“She could have lived today and they made me believe that I had to kill her. They even fed me words to say,” she added.
Anderson said ghosts told her she had to kill her mother, and that they would kill her next.
“I can’t believe they would do this to me. Got me all tripped out and… my sweet, sweet mother. I deserve the death penalty. I want to do die.”
