“Cardinal” Cupich & The Counter Church In Chicago

Below are some important points on the issue of what it means to "stay with the Church" in our time.  In light of the information in this video and in our material, it’s crucial to understand what the Catholic Church is, where it is visible, and where it is not visible.  In fact, the primary difference between false conservatives who obstinately remain in the Vatican II Sect (the end-times Counter Church), which is led by Antipope Francis and his apostate ‘bishops’ (such as Cupich), and those who correctly reject the Vatican II Sect as a non-Catholic entity (i.e. sedevacantists), is found in our two different understandings of the Catholic Church.  Those who remain in the Vatican II Sect wrongly believe that the Catholic Church is identified and defined by buildings and by the people who occupy those buildings, irrespective of whether those men have or profess the true faith.  True traditional Catholics, on the other hand, correctly recognize that those who depart from the teaching of the Magisterium are not to be considered part of the Catholic Church.  Rather, such people are to be considered as having no part of Catholic communion and as outside the Church.  On this point, see these quotations:

Pope Leo XIII, Satis Cognitum (# 9), June 29, 1896: “The practice of the Church has always been the same, and that with the consenting judgment [i.e. consensus] of the holy fathers who certainly were accustomed to hold as having no part of Catholic communion and as banished from the Church whoever had departed in even the least way from the doctrine proposed by the authentic Magisterium.”

Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis Christi (# 22), June 29, 1943: “Actually only those are to be included as members of the Church who have received the laver of regeneration and profess the true faith…”

St. Robert Bellarmine, Cardinal and Doctor of the Church, De Romano Pontifice, II, 30: "A pope who is a manifest heretic automatically (per se) ceases to be pope and head, just as he ceases automatically to be a Christian and a member of the Church. Wherefore, he can be judged and punished by the Church. This is the teaching of all the ancient Fathers who teach that manifest heretics immediately lose all jurisdiction."

Galatians 1:8-9 “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. As we said before, so now I say again: If anyone preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema.”

In light of this truth, true Catholics recognize that the Church is not defined by those who occupy certain buildings or structures.  Rather, it is defined by, and visible in, the true Catholics who have and profess the true faith.  To further understand this point, it's helpful to think of the Catholic Church during the time of the Apostles.  At that time there were almost no church buildings.  There were house churches.  The Church existed, moved and was visible wherever the true faithful went.  If the true believers went to place x (such as Antioch), the true Church was there.  If they went to place y (such as Ephesus), it was there.  If the true Christians (i.e. the true Catholics) were located at a house in Lydia or in the desert in Egypt, the Church was there.  The key point is that the Church was visible wherever THE TRUE BELIEVERS WERE. If the Church at that time had been operating in a prominent place but subsequently departed from that place, the true Church was no longer visible or present in that place.  It was visible and present wherever THE TRUE FAITHFUL were. That’s why the New Testament teaches that the true believers are the temple of God (2 Cor. 6:16; 1 Peter 2:5; Eph. 2:22).  The true faithful are the Church.  The same is true today during the Great Apostasy.  In fact, it makes sense that near the end of the world the Church would find itself in a situation that is similar to the one in which it began – i.e. without many prominent physical buildings, but located wherever the true faithful are visible.  (No, this is not a Protestant idea but a biblical and Catholic one.)  So, those false conservatives who continue to consider Antipope Francis, Cupich, etc. as authorities in the Church are deceived.  To you, we say: you think you are “staying with the Church” by recognizing whoever has control of the buildings and the “diocesan structure”, even if those men are obviously not Catholic (such as Cupich).  You are wrong.  You are not staying with the Catholic Church.  You are staying with a building occupied by heretics and aligning yourself to a false Church, the end-times Counter Church.  You are also adopting the false position that people can be notoriously heretical and non-Catholic yet still be in the Catholic Church. That is heresy.  You are separating yourself from the true temple of God, the true Church – which, even at this dark hour of the Great Apostasy, remains visible in the true traditional Catholics.  As an example of that visibility, you are looking at a channel run by members of the true Catholic Church.  All the true Catholics in the world make up the visible Church.  On the other hand, the Counter Church led by Antipope Francis, Cupich, etc. is the visible end-times Counter Church.  This issue is also discussed at 46:30 and following of this video: Michael Matt, False Traditionalism & The Church In The End Times  For information on how to join to the true Catholic Church, see our website.  We also recommend that Catholics pray 15 decades of the Rosary each day and the Hail Mary frequently.
