"Brooklyn minister arrested for pill possession, driving drunk in Holland Tunnel"
pix11.com A Brooklyn minister was arrested Friday after police say she was dangerously swerving through lanes inside the Holland Tunnel. Police say 53-year-old Diane Reiners was erratically driving, hitting the curb a few times and coming to complete stops before the other drivers in the tunnel called police. Reiners was traveling from Manhattan to New Jersey around 6 p.m. When police pulled Reiners over, they said her eyes were bloodshot and there was alcohol on her breath. Reiners was also slurring her words. After searching the car, police found hundreds of pain and anxiety pills prescribed to another person in the car. Reiners was given a field sobriety test but failed. She was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, criminal possession of a controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and disobeying traffic laws. According to Reiners’ LinkedIn, the Fort Greene minister is an assistant priest at Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in Manhattan.
