Brockton man pulled knife on father after not getting iPhone for Christmas
Benjamin Paulin enterprisenews.com BROCKTON — A Brockton man was arrested Wednesday after police say he pulled a knife on his father because he didn’t get a Christmas present he wanted. Alexander Torres, 18, of Moraine Street in Brockton was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery and malicious damage to a motor vehicle, according to Brockton Police Lt. Bruce Zeidman. Zeidman said Torres did not get an iPhone he wanted for Christmas. “The suspect was fighting with everyone in the house and he pulled out a knife on his father,” Zeidman said. The father was not injured but Torres’s 24-year-old stepbrother was sent to Good Samaritan Medical Center. Zeidman did not say why. Police were called around 1:45 p.m. Torres is scheduled to be arraigned in Brockton District Court Thursday.
