British teenager and boyfriend may have committed suicide after killing US policeman

metro.co.uk A British teenager and her American boyfriend have been found dead after allegedly shooting a US police officer. Alexandria Hollinghurst, 17, from Manchester, and her 18-year-old boyfriend Brandon Goode are believed to have killed themselves after an officer was murdered in Orlando, Florida. It is reported that the couple had been stopped by foot patrol officer Robert German in the affluent suburb of Windermere on Saturday morning. Officer German was later found with a gunshot wound after he had called for backup, and he was later pronounced dead at a medical centre. The teenage couple were then found nearby with apparently self-inflicted gunshot wounds in the grounds of a multi-million dollar home.

Miss Hollinghurst’s family have said they believe she may have been murdered by her boyfriend who had been arrested a few weeks before for possession of marijuana and alcohol. It is believed the 17-year-old was born in Oldham, Greater Manchester, before her family emigrated to the states around six years ago. Officer German was believed to have been wearing a ‘lapel camera’ and police will now study that footage as their investigation gets underway. to read more: metro.co.uk
