Benedict XVI, Homily, September 8, 2007: “…this does not mean that we despise other religions, nor are we arrogantly absolutizing our own ideas; on the contrary, it means that we are gripped by him who has touched our hearts…”
Contrary to what Benedict XVI states, Catholics do despise every religion that is not the true Catholic religion. We despise these man made religions because they send people to everlasting misery in Hell. He then says the infallible teachings are not infallible by saying that we are “not absolutizing our own ideas.” Benedict XVI shows us once again this week that he is an apostate.
Benedict XVI, Speech at Meeting with Italian Clergy, July 24, 2007: “I also lived at the time of the Council. I was in St. Peter’s Basilica with great enthusiasm and saw new doors opening. It really seemed to be the new Pentecost in which the Church could once again convince humanity, after the world had distanced itself from the Church in the 18th and 19th centuries; it seemed that the Church and the world were meeting again and that a Christian world and a Church of the world, truly open to the world, were being born anew. We had so many hopes but in fact things turned out to be more difficult.”
Benedict XVI promotes a new Pentecost and a Church of the world. His words indicate some kind of friendship that the Church needs to have with the world.
James 4:4- “Adulterers, know you not that the friendship of this world is the enemy of God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of this world, becometh an enemy of God.”
John 15:19- “If you had been of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”
John 17:14- “I have given them thy word, and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world; as I also am not of the world.”
1 John 2:16- “For all that is in the world, is the concupiscence of the flesh, and the concupiscence of the eyes, and the pride of life, which is not of the Father, but is of the world.”
1 John 4-5- “They are of the world: therefore of the world they speak, and the world heareth them.”
John 14:17- “The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, nor knoweth him: but you shall know him; because he shall abide with you, and shall be in you.”
