Benedict XVI, Address to Ambassador of Morocco, Feb. 20, 2006: “For her part, in the present international context with which we are familiar, the Catholic Church remains convinced that to encourage peace and understanding between peoples and people, it is urgently necessary that religions and their symbols be respected and that believers not be the object of provocations that wound their outlook and religious sentiments.” (L’Osservatore Romano, March 1, 2006, p. 2)
He respects false religions – for instance, the Koran’s teaching, which includes blasphemies and denials of the Trinity – as well as false religious symbols. This is apostasy. Notice what Pope Leo XIII had to say about men such as Benedict XVI:
Pope Leo XIII, Custodi Di Quella Fede (# 15), Dec. 8, 1892: “Everyone should avoid familiarity or friendship with anyone suspected of belonging to masonry or to affiliated groups. Know them by their fruits and avoid them. Every familiarity should be avoided, not only with those impious libertines who openly promote the character of the sect, but also with those who hide under the mask of universal tolerance, respect for all religions, and the craving to reconcile the maxims of the Gospel with those of the revolution. These men seek to reconcile Christ and Belial, the Church of God and the state without God.” (The Papal Encyclicals, Vol. 2 (1878-1903), p. 304.)
