Baseball Team Cancels Family Night Just Because Its Sponsor Is Pro-Life
Intolerant abortion activists ruined a family fun night Friday with a Colorado baseball team after complaining that two of the sponsors were pro-life.
Fox News reports the Rocky Mountain Vibes canceled their Family Night at the last minute Friday because of objections to Save the Storks and Pikes Peak Citizens for Life, two pro-life organizations that were partnering in the event.
“Our sponsorship and support of this game has helped triple the average ticket sales to more than 3,000, clearly showing that the Colorado Springs community fully stands behind this night,” Diane Ferraro, president of Save the Storks, told the Christian Post in response to the cancellation...
Julie Bailey, vice president of Pikes Peak Citizens for Life, said they learned about the cancellation just a few hours before the game.
“We’re very disappointed,” Bailey told Fox News. “We’ve been working on this several months. … This is just a reflection of the culture we’re in.”
Save the Storks, which supports mothers facing unplanned pregnancies, refused to be defeated or discouraged by the Vibes’ decision.
“Let’s build bridges in our communities, not cave in to the cancel culture. Let’s spread joy, love and hope to our neighbors,” the organization wrote on Facebook. “Pro-life is pro-family, pro-mom, pro-dad, pro-love. We will not let one canceled family night in Colorado Springs defeat us.”
The pro-life group encouraged people to ask for a refund for their tickets and boycott the game Friday.
