Antipope Francis Appoints Pro-Homosexual Activist And The Counter Church Expresses Apocalyptic Wonder

Antipope Francis recently appointed the notorious 'Fr.' Timothy Radcliffe as a consultor to the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace.  As reported:

"In a move sure to raise eyebrows among the Church’s traditional guard, Pope Francis named the Rev. Timothy Radcliffe a consultor to the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, the Vatican announced Saturday.  The head of the Dominican Order for nearly a decade in the 1990s who now leads a social justice center at Oxford, the English-born Radcliffe has repeatedly challenged Catholic attitudes toward women, gays and lesbians, and the divorced." (Cruxnow.com)

Radcliffe is a radical apostate, even by Novus Ordo standards.  He has said that homosexual activity should be ‘cherished and supported’.  He even called it ‘Eucharistic’.  He has praised homosexual ‘civil unions’ and celebrated ‘gay Masses’ (e.g. the ‘Soho Masses’).  Radcliffe has even encouraged people to read gay novels.  He also supports giving sacraments to people who are divorced and living in sinful, invalid second ‘marriages’.  Just consider that Radcliffe was the head of the ‘Dominican Order’ in the Vatican II sect for nearly a decade.  Think of that the next time a follower of the Vatican II sect refers to a true Catholic as ‘independent’ or ‘unapproved’.  Antipope Francis thinks that Radcliffe, his fellow apostate, represents the kind of leadership and insight he wants to see.  He has thus installed him as a consultor.

THE WHORE OF BABYLON AND THE END-TIMES BEAST

As our material points out (see the videos below), the Apocalypse prophesies that the end-times beast will be a new version of the pagan Roman Empire.  We are living through the fulfillment of that prophecy.  The Beast that Was, and Is Not (i.e. pagan, anti-Christian Europe under the Roman Empire) has returned in a new form (i.e. as pagan, anti-Christian Europe under the European Union).  The recent same-sex ‘marriage’ of the Prime Minister of Luxembourg (formerly a very Catholic country) is just one more example of this fact.  The Whore of Babylon (the Vatican II Counter Church) is of course a critical component of the end-times Beast and represents its spiritual leadership.  That’s why the Whore sits on top of the Beast.

Apocalypse 17:3-5- “And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of blasphemous names, and it had seven heads and ten horns.  The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her fornication.  And on her forehead was written a name of mystery: ‘Babylon the great, the mother of harlots and of the earth’s abominations.’”

The Whore (i.e. apostate Rome in the final days) has led/directed pagan Europe (the Beast) into its apostasy from Christ and driven its demonic spiritual transformation.  It has also, of course, spread its apostasy and spiritual fornication to all the nations of the Earth.  The veneration of the image of the pagan Roman king who claimed to be Lord and God and brought idolatry into the empire (i.e. Antipope John Paul II) is another crucial aspect of the prophesied end-times Beast that mirrors the pagan Roman Empire.

Apocalypse 13:3- “One of its heads [i.e. one of the seven kings of Rome associated with the Whore of Babylon – see Apoc. 17] seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth wondered as they followed the beast.”

Apocalypse 13:14- “… it deceives my own people who dwell on the earth, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived.”

The veneration of the image of the idolater John Paul II implicates the masses who follow the Vatican II sect in idolatry and a rejection of the first commandment.  That’s covered in detail in our videos.  However, here I want to draw people’s attention to the ‘wonder’ the Apocalypse mentions in regard to the followers of the Whore of Babylon and the Beast.  We are currently witnessing that ‘wonder’ or ‘amazement’ in all quarters of the Beast.

THE FOLLOWERS OF THE WHORE OF BABYLON (I.E. THE VATICAN II SECT) AND THE BEAST (I.E. APOSTATE, PAGAN EUROPE UNDER THE EUROPEAN UNION, WHICH IS SPIRITUALLY LED BY APOSTATE VATICAN II ROME) CAN ONLY ‘WONDER’ AT THINGS SUCH AS THE APPOINTMENT OF RADCLIFFE

Actions such as Francis’ appointment of the pro-homosexual activist Radcliffe (and many similar occurrences) are causing tremendous dismay among ‘conservative’ followers of the Vatican II sect.  Such developments leave them utterly astonished, disturbed, and confused.  That’s exactly how groups such as EWTN, Michael Voris’ organization, the FSSP, members of the SSPX, and others are reacting right now to what’s happening in general.  They are shocked to see what’s transpiring in Rome and what it has spread throughout Europe and to the rest of the world.  They simply can't explain or understand it, and they don’t know where it’s all headed.  They can only wonder with astonishment and amazement, and think: "What in the world is going on?  It's as if the 'Catholic Church' has gone pagan.  Why is this happening?"

While I could expand on this point with numerous examples, it suffices to say that this reaction – one that is now dominant among false traditionalists and ‘conservatives’ who still sadly follow Antipope Francis and the Whore of Babylon – is exactly what the Apocalypse refers to when it prophesies the 'astonishment/wonder/disturbed amazement’ that comes upon the followers of the Whore of Babylon and the Beast.

It’s what’s referred to in Apocalypse 17:8:

"And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world shall wonder to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come."

The word in the Greek in Apocalypse 17:8, translated in numerous versions as ‘wonder,’ is thaumasthēsontai (θαυμασθήσονται).  It’s from the verb thaumazo (θαυμάζω), meaning ‘I wonder, I marvel’.  Thaumasthēsontai (θαυμασθήσονται) is the third person plural future indicative passive form of the verb thaumazo.  Thaumasthēsontai in Apoc. 17:8 could be translated “shall be astonished/amazed.”  The verb thaumazo can mean to “be extraordinarily impressed or disturbed by something” (BDAG, p. 444).  Therefore, thaumazo doesn’t necessarily signify amazement in a positive way.  It can refer to positive or negative amazement.

Before the angel explained the mystery to St. John (i.e. when he had only seen a vision and before he understood the facts involved), he was also wondering with shock, astonishment, and disturbed confusion when he saw allegedly Christian/Catholic Rome acting like pagan Rome.

Apocalypse 17:4-10-"The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her fornication.  And on her forehead was written a name of mystery: ‘Babylon the great, the mother of harlots and of the earth’s abominations.’  And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.  When I saw her, I wondered with great wonder.  But the angel said to me, ‘Why do you wonder?  I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that carries her.  The beast that you saw was and is not and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction.  And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world shall wonder to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come.  This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated.  They are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is...’”

‘Wonder’ or amazement at the Beast is not only present in the ‘conservative’ elements of the Counter Church.  It’s also present in the liberal quarters.  For example, those who support the homosexual agenda, who clamor for approval of second ‘marriages,’ etc. are astonished to see ‘Catholic Rome’ now speaking their language.  In fact, basically the entire world (including non-Catholics) is amazed to see what has happened in Rome and, as a result, in the ‘Catholic Church’ globally.  Just consider how Elton John, Al Gore, Barack Obama and others are currently praising the direction of Francis and Rome.  They are amazed to find themselves in agreement with, or in support of, Rome’s message.  In their case, it’s a happy amazement/astonishment.

As our video explains, the verb thaumazo (I wonder/marvel) is used numerous times in the Apocalypse and in chapter 17 itself.  In the Apocalypse it refers to both forms of amazement: “the disturbed confusion” of the false conservatives and the “happy astonishment” of the liberals, who are giddy with excitement that Rome is now speaking their demonic language and championing their wicked agenda.

The “disturbed confusion” and astonishment of the false conservatives carries much more significance, as the false conservatives/false traditionalists are much more concerned about spiritual and Catholic matters than the leftists.  The deception that ensnares and ultimately damns them represents the true success for the Beast and the Whore.

A good example of a follower of the Beast expressing such amazement or ‘wonder’ is the false traditionalist Michael Matt.  (Matt also considers the idolater John Paul II to be a ‘saint’.  He thus denies the first commandment by professing that one can be sanctified by worshipping false gods and that organizing the worship of false gods and denying Catholic teaching, as John Paul II did, is the way to become holy.)  When referring to the horrors of the Vatican II sect and Francis’ abominable activity, Matt consistently states (he has done so perhaps dozens of times and does so in almost every talk on the issue) things such as the following:

“Why is this happening?”  “What’s going on?”  “Can someone explain this to me?” “Why would they de-Catholicize the Church?”  “Why?”

To Matt and many others like him, we say: when will you discover that it’s happening because the men you acknowledge and are following are wicked, heretical, and non-Catholic?  When will you discover that they are doing such things precisely because they are heretics who don’t represent the Catholic Church?  When will you discover that you, and so many like you, are not following the Catholic Church but the prophesied Whore of Babylon and the Beast? (It’s a totally correct and succinct way to sum up the reality: those who follow the Vatican II sect actually follow the Beast, not the Catholic Church.)

In regard to Francis’ decision to use an Argentinian passport rather than one reserved for heads of the Vatican City State, Matt also said: “Why is he doing this?  Is there something that we’re missing... I’m scratching my head.”  Yes, you are missing quite a bit: e.g. that you are following the Whore and the Beast and not the Catholic Church.  As our material covers, Francis’ decision to use an Argentinian passport was further confirmation of apocalyptic prophecy about the seven kings and the Beast.  (One should also point out that a person who has no idea why these things are happening, such as Matt, has no business trying to guide or direct others in this situation.  It's the blind leading the blind – Matthew 15:14.)

Since the false conservatives and false traditionalists who follow the Great Harlot are unable to see the truth of the situation with the eyes of faith, they are left shocked, bewildered, disturbed, and awestruck to see allegedly Catholic Rome acting like pagan Rome under the Roman Empire.  They are at a loss to explain what’s happening.  They are hopeless and uninformed – through their own fault and their own resistance to the truth.  They wonder as they follow the Beast.  They are led like sheep to the spiritual slaughter – e.g. by accepting John Paul II as a ‘saint’ and thus by embracing idolatry.

However, true Catholics in our day, who have the faith and are armed with the proper information, don’t wonder.  We realize that Francis is not the pope, but an antipope.  We realize that the Vatican II sect is not the Catholic Church, but the prophesied Whore of Babylon (and part of the Beast).  In fact, Radcliffe's appointment isn't even surprising to us.  We know what's happening and why it is happening.

It’s also noteworthy that the noun thauma (θαῦμα), which is cognate with the verb thaumazo, is used in 2 Cor. 11:13-15 in reference to false apostles, false ministers or false shepherds of Christ.  That’s more evidence that the root word, as it is used in inspired Scripture, often conveys the astonishment or awe evoked by false Christian leaders doing wicked things or engaging in behavior that’s uncharacteristic of Christian leadership.

2 Corinthians 11:13-14- “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.  No wonder [ou thauma... 'Don't wonder'] for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”

That sense applies extremely well to how thaumazo is used in the Apocalypse.  The Whore and the Beast evoke thaumazo among their followers and the uninformed because they represent a Counter Church that purports to hold true Christian/Catholic authority but does things that are uncharacteristic of that authority.
