Francis’ August 19, 2013 Interview with Antonio Spadaro:

Francis: “In Buenos Aires I used to receive letters from homosexual persons who are ‘socially wounded’ because they tell me that they feel like the church has always condemned them.  But the church does not want to do this.  During the return flight from Rio de Janeiro I said that if a homosexual person is of good will and is in search of God, I am no one to judge… A person once asked me, in a provocative manner, if I approved of homosexuality.  I replied with another question: ‘Tell me: when God looks at a gay person, does he endorse the existence of this person with love, or reject and condemn this person?’  We must always consider the person.  Here we enter into the mystery of the human being.”

Antonio Spadaro: So I ask: “How can we reconcile in harmony Petrine primacy and collegiality?  Which roads are feasible also from an ecumenical perspective?”

Francis: “We must walk together: the people, the bishops and the pope.  Synodality should be lived at various levels.  Maybe it is time to change the methods of the Synod of Bishops, because it seems to me that the current method is not dynamic.  This will also have ecumenical value, especially with our Orthodox brethren.  From them we can learn more about the meaning of episcopal collegiality and the tradition of synodality.  The joint effort of reflection, looking at how the church was governed in the early centuries, before the breakup between East and West, will bear fruit in due time.  In ecumenical relations it is important not only to know each other better, but also to recognize what the Spirit has sown in the other as a gift for us.  I want to continue the discussion that was begun in 2007 by the joint [Catholic-Orthodox] commission on how to exercise the Petrine primacy, which led to the signing of the Ravenna Document.  We must continue on this path.”

Antonio Spadaro: “I ask how Pope Francis envisions the future unity of the church in light of this response.”

Francis: “We must walk united with our differences: there is no other way to become one.  This is the way of Jesus… We must therefore investigate further the role of women in the church.  We have to work harder to develop a profound theology of the woman.  Only by making this step will it be possible to better reflect on their function within the church.  The feminine genius is needed wherever we make important decisions.  The challenge today is this: to think about the specific place of women also in those places where the authority of the church is exercised for various areas of the church.” [1]

Antipope Francis says that the Church does not want to condemn homosexuals.  However, that is what the Catholic Church does (see 1 Cor. 6:9-10).  Francis does not believe that homosexuals are in mortal sin and on the road to eternal dangation.  That’s what his statement means.  Francis then talks about homosexuals “of good will”.  There is no such thing.  He ends his statement on homosexuality by saying that God doesn’t necessarily reject the homosexual.  Francis then says that “the Catholic Church” can learn from the schismatic “Orthodox” sect about how “the Catholic Church” should be run.  Francis declares that the Holy Spirit has “sown” things in the schismatic churches “as a gift for us”.  This is a blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.  Francis then utters the heresy that we need to “walk united with our differences”.  That clearly means that the schismatics don’t need to be converted to the Catholic faith.  He blasphemously asserts that this is the way of Jesus.  At the end, Francis also seems to indicate that women should be involved “whenever” his sect makes “important decisions”.  That’s contrary to Catholic teaching.

From November 27-29, 2013 the Union of Superiors General of religious institutes for men came to Rome for their 82nd General Assembly.  Francis spoke to the Assembly.  The following words were witnessed by Antonio Spadaro:

Spadaro speaking of Francis’ speech said: “Francis then made explicit reference to Benedict XVI: ‘He said that the Church grows by witness, not by proselytism’… Pope Francis recounted that the previous day he met with the Prior of Taize, Frere Alois: ‘Monks at Taize – among them, Catholic, Calvinist, Lutheran, etc. – all live a real life of brotherhood together.  They are an impressive apostolic role model for young people.  The fraternal community has an enormous power to call people together.’” [2]

Antipope Francis states that ecumenical “religious communities” are “an impressive apostolic role model for young people”.  This is completely heretical.  Francis also explicitly says the Church grows “not by proselytism”.  This is the opposite of what Jesus commanded – to go and preach the gospel to every creature.  His statement is very similar to a heretical speech he gave on October 4, 2013.  That speech was not included in the list of Francis’ heresies from October 2013.  But it will be listed now:

Francis’ October 4, 2013 Meeting with “priests and religious of the Diocese” in the Cathedral of San Rufino:

“The pastoral visit that has just ended and the diocesan synod which you are about to celebrate are intense moments of growth for this Church which God has blessed in a special way.  The Church grows, but not through proselytizing: no, no!  The Church grows, but not through proselytizing.”[3]

This statement from Francis is totally heretical.  He is teaching the opposite of what Jesus proclaimed and the Catholic Church has taught for two thousand years.

Francis’ Interview with the founder of ‘La Repubblica’, non-believer Eugenio Scalfari.  The interview was published in ‘La Repubblica’ on October 1, 2013:

Francis: “One of my collaborators who knows you told me that you will try to convert me”.

Scalfari: “It was a joke… My friends think that it will be you who will try to convert me.”

Francis: “Proselytism is downright nonsense; it doesn’t make any sense.”

Scalfari: “Your Holiness, is there only one vision of the Good?  And who determines what it is?”

Francis: “Each one of us has his own vision of the Good and also of Evil.  We have to urge it [the vision] to move towards what one perceives as the Good”.

Scalfari: “Your Holiness, you wrote this in the letter you sent me.  Conscience is autonomous, you said, and each person must obey his own conscience.  I think that this is one of the most courageous statements a Pope has ever made.

Francis: “And now I repeat it.  Everyone has his own idea of Good and Evil and he has to choose to follow the Good and to fight Evil as he understands it.  This would be enough to improve the world… It is not proselytism.”[4]

Francis declares that trying to convert others to the Catholic faith is “downright nonsense” and that it “doesn’t make any sense”!  Antipope Francis then says that every person has his own idea of good and evil.  Whatever a person thinks is good or evil is what that person should follow, according to him.  Notice, he doesn’t say that you should follow what the Catholic Church says is good, but whatever your conscience determines that to be!  This is complete modernist wickedness, heresy and apostasy.

Francis’ October 11, 2013 Answers to questions from non-believer and ‘La Repubblica’ founder Eugenio Scalfari:

“Dear Dr. Scalfari… You asked me, at the end of your first article, what should be said to the Jewish brethren… in the light of the Second Vatican Council, we have rediscovered that the Jewish people remain for us the holy root from which Jesus was born.  I too have cultivated many friendships through the years with my Jewish brothers in Argentina… God has never neglected his faithfulness to the covenant with Israel, and that, through the awful trials of these last centuries, the Jews have preserved their faith in God.  And for this, we, the Church and the whole human family, can never be sufficiently grateful to them.  Moreover, persevering with faith in the God of the Covenant… what interests you is to understand the attitude of the Church towards those who do not share faith in Jesus.  Above all, you ask if the God of Christians forgives those who do not believe and who do not seek faith.  Given the premise, and this is fundamental, that the mercy of God is limitless for those who turn to him with a sincere and contrite heart, the issue for the unbeliever lies in obeying his or her conscience.  There is sin, even for those who have no faith, when conscience is not followed.  Listening to and obeying conscience means deciding in the face of what is understood to be good or evil.  It is on the basis of this choice that the goodness or evil of our actions is determined.”[5]

Francis declares that all of us should be grateful to Jews for preserving “their faith in God”, even though they reject God and the Catholic faith.  Francis then repeats his heretical teaching that people must simply follow their conscience (not the Catholic faith).  He teaches that “the unbeliever” will be saved simply by “obeying his or her conscience”, and that sin only happens if someone doesn’t follow his or her conscience.  This is apostasy from the Catholic faith.

Francis’ Interview given to the Italian newspaper ‘La Stampa’ published on December 15, 2013:

Question: “This coming January marks the 50th anniversary of Paul VI’s historic visit to the Holy Land.  Will you go there?”

Francis: “I too would like to go there, to meet my brother Bartholomew, the Patriarch of Constantinople, and commemorate this 50th anniversary with him, renewing that embrace which took place between Pope Montini and Athenagoras in Jerusalem in 1964.  We are preparing for this…”

Question: “Some of the passages in the ‘Evangelii Gaudium’ attracted criticism from so-called ‘ultraconservatives’ in the USA.  As a Pope, how does it feel to be called a ‘Marxist’?”

Francis: “… I have met many Marxists in my life who are good people, so I don’t feel offended.”

Question: “You announced a ‘conversion of the papacy’.  Did a concrete path emerge from your encounters with the Orthodox Patriarchs?”

Francis: “John Paul II spoke even more explicitly about a way of exercising primacy that is open to a new situation.  Not just from the point of view of ecumenical relations but also as regards relations with the Curia and local Churches.  Over the course of these first nine months, I have received visits from many Orthodox brothers: Bartholomew, Hilarion, the theologian Zizioulas, the Copt Tawadros.  The latter is a mystic, he would enter the chapel, remove his shoes and go and pray.  I felt like their brother.  They have the apostolic succession; I received them as brother bishops… We blessed each other; one brother blesses the other, one brother is called Peter and the other Andrew, Mark, Thomas.”

Question: “Is Christian unity a priority for you?”

Francis: “Yes, for me ecumenism is a priority.  Today there is an ecumenism of blood.  In some countries, they kill Christians for wearing a cross or carrying a Bible, and before they kill them they do not ask whether they are Anglican, Lutheran, Catholic or Orthodox.  Our blood is mixed…  I knew a parish priest in Hamburg who was working for the cause of beatification of a Catholic priest guillotined by the Nazis for teaching children the catechism.  Just after him on the list of condemned individuals was a Lutheran pastor who was killed for the same reason.  Their blood was mixed.  The parish priest told me he had gone to the bishop and said to him: ‘I will continue to work for the cause, but both of their causes, not just the Catholic priests.’  This is what the ecumenism of blood is.  It exists today;”[6]

Antipope Francis says that many Marxists  are “good people”.  In reality, there is no such thing as a Marxist who is a good person.  Francis indicates that he’s open to seeing the papacy exercised in a new way.  He then declares the leaders of schismatic churches to be “brothers”, and says that he was blessed by them.  He declares one of them to be “a mystic”.  He compares the schismatic leaders to apostles of Christ’s church: “one brother is called Peter and the other Andrew, Mark, Thomas”.  Francis also says that ecumenism is a priority and that “there is an ecumenism of blood”.  He teaches that there are non-Catholic martyrs.  That’s a blatant denial of the dogma defined by Pope Eugene IV at the Council of Florence: that no one, even if he sheds blood in the name of Christ, can be saved unless he dies in the bosom and unity of the Catholic Church.  Francis even endorses the idea that a Lutheran could be advanced for ‘beatification’ and ‘canonization’.  Antipope Francis ends by stating that no matter what heretical or schismatic sect you belong to, you’re a part of the true Church of Jesus Christ. He is a complete heretic and apostate.
