Cases of Alzheimer's disease are on the rise. More than 5 million Americans currently suffer from the devastating condition, and it is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.
Drug-based treatments for Alzheimer's have been disappointingly ineffective, but there is a growing body of evidence suggesting that coconut oil – a completely natural, inexpensive and widely available product – may be an effective aid in preventing and treating the disease.
The anecdotal evidence has been extremely promising. For example, an article recently published by Health Impact News involved the case of a woman whose 88-year-old mother suffers from Alzheimer's.
The woman reported that after removing her mother from a nursing home and commencing a daily topical coconut oil treatment, the 88-year-old displayed a dramatic and immediate improvement in her condition.
