ATF Proposes Legislation that Would Ban Ammunition For AR-15s

thefreethoughtproject.com Washington DC – According to a recent report by the NRA’s Institute For Legislative Action, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Obama Administration are attempting to ban ammunition for AR-15s and other .223 caliber general purpose rifles. The report points to a recent piece of proposed legislation called “Framework for Determining Whether Certain Projectiles are ‘Primarily Intended for Sporting Purposes’ Within the Meaning of 18 U.S.C. 921(a)(17)(c)” The report clearly states that the ATF wants to take powerful guns and ammunition out of the hands of the average people “for the protection of law enforcement officers.”
