"Pro-LGBT influencer priest goes viral dancing in cassock before altar"
"A Catholic priest who has publicly advocated the acceptance of same-sex 'rainbow families' has gone viral on social media over videos showing him dancing in his cassock before an altar and making other irreverent gestures.
Father Roberto Fiscer, a priest of the Archdiocese of Genoa, Italy, attracted widespread attention online after several videos circulated showing him and servers dancing in front of an altar, distributing Communion using a prop crown, and appearing in women’s makeup while giving instructions on attending Church celebrations...
Fiscer, who has more than 800,000 followers on TikTok and nearly 300,000 on Instagram, was appointed in May 2026 by Genoa Archbishop Marco Tasca to a diocesan role dedicated to communication and evangelization through social media and other new media.
Fiscer is also known for having made statements concerning homosexuality and religious pluralism contrary to the doctrine of the Church. In a podcast published on July 31, 2026, he was asked about same-sex 'rainbow families.' He described the topic as an 'obviously delicate subject' and said it involved questions that 'the Church is now examining closely.'
The priest stated that 'Pope Francis and Pope Leo [XIV] respect people’s feelings, whatever people may feel.' For these reasons, moral questions should begin from the 'respect for each person’s freedom.' While acknowledging that a father and mother are 'fundamental figures in a child’s development,' he also said, 'there are exceptions, love is love,' and that 'the love of a rainbow family is not second-class.'...
he referred to messages from 'ultra-traditionalists,' saying: 'I’m now starting to receive messages from numerous haters, sent by ultra-traditionalists. They really are a world unto themselves. If you look at their social media profiles, it’s quite scary: they are denialists, they are conspiracy theorists.'...
He also called Francis 'a prophet' and 'a prophecy for our time,' adding, 'he is a magnet, people go there because the Holy Spirit is speaking.'"
