The Acts of the Second Council of Nicaea (AD 787), Sess. 6: “Those who make war on the spiritual Jerusalem, that is, the Catholic Church, are like those who made war on the earthly Jerusalem: they themselves endeavor to use the language of the fathers, just as Rabshakeh once used the Hebrew language against Israel [4 Kings 18:28].
