Amazing coincidence leads to family finding dog lost almost two years ago
metro.co.uk A family who lost their dog during a storm have been reunited with their pet almost two years later. Reckless, a terrier-pitbull mix, had gone missing from the home of Chuck and Elicia James when Hurricane Sandy battered the east coast of America in 2012. So the couple recently went to Monmouth County SPCA in Eatontown, New Jersey, to adopt a new dog, having accepted they would never see their old canine friend again. In a bizarre coincidence, the first dog the staff at the shelter for homeless animals brought out was the very same one the couple had lost to the storm. The dog, named Reckless, was taken in by the shelter but had never found an owner. Volunteers at the shelter, who had named the dog Lucas, said it always seemed as if he was waiting for someone in particular. to read more: metro.co.uk
