I Come From A Protestant Background... How Do I Become A Traditional Catholic?

Hi... my name is Mark I’m sixteen and I live in Florida. I have some questions about the Faith. I come from a Protestant background (Baptist specifically) and I completely reject every one of the thousands of branches of Protestantism. It’s an entirely different religion to me… and your videos have been a great help in giving me information on why Protestantism is false. My best friend John is a “Catholic”, he was raised one and currently is a practicing one. He started talking to me about my faith and I started talking to him about his. We both weren’t really strong in our respective faiths, so we looked at it together. We both came to the definitive decision that Protestantism was completely false and that practicing it would be null and void. John actually introduced me to your channel.

I used to like Steven Anderson a lot (I don’t anymore obviously) and he showed me your expose on him. I was convinced right then and there that not only was Steven Anderson a false prophet... but that the entire Protestant religion is false.  Soon after I got into Eastern Orthodoxy... and started attending a Greek Orthodox Church near my house... And by watching your video on the Papacy or the Bible proves the Papacy rather... I was convinced the Orthodox were flawed on the Papacy because they rejected it and still do. John agreed and was so glad that I made that discovery. He didn’t want to tell me because he didn’t want me and him to argue about it.

So then I started attending a “Catholic” “Church” near my house. And this was before watching your video on the new mass. I was really appalled and stunned. This was in essence a Protestant service... It was horrendous. Altar girls, “communion” in the hand, “Eucharistic” ministers? Insane! So here I am now... feeling kind of discouraged. And not knowing exactly where to go. I don’t want to go back to that horrendous service, it makes me sad.

Also I reject Francis as a true Pope. He is condemned by the true Popes of history and he is an apostate and antipope. Also Vatican II was heretical. The new mass is invalid. The Catholic Church is the only valid Church and is the only Church. I have been baptized by a Protestant “pastor” I don’t remember if it was in the right form, but I think it was. John gave me a Rosary and I have been praying 5 decades of it everyday. I do enjoy that.

Ok here are some questions... what do I tell my friend John? He still attends the new mass and believes Francis is a pope. He doesn’t like Francis but he still thinks he’s a pope. And takes “communion” and confesses to a “priest”. What do I tell him? And how do I myself start? How do I become a traditional Catholic? Where would I even go for confession? I live in Altamonte Springs, Florida and I know of nowhere near me to confess to a valid priest. And wouldn’t I actually have to join the Church said priest was at? He probably believes that Francis is a true pope.

Anyway... those are my questions. Thank you so much for your videos. They are a blessing and so valuable. I really am genuine about this. Christ is Lord. I want to join the Church He founded. Thank you for your time.
